Empathy Stage
Empathy is when you feel what another person is feeling and by deeply understanding people, we are better able to design for them. During our empathy stage, we used the three empathy techniques which are observing users and their behavior in the context of their lives. The second one is to immerse, and that is experience what our user is experiencing. The last one was to engage by interacting with and interviewing the users.

To further improve our empathy stage, for each visit to the BCC we kept a journal and wrote down what we experienced. And to better understand how we can improve their experience and what they're going through, we interviewed a few members of the BCC and one student at the University of San Diego. After reading one of the journals, we noticed that some of the members sometimes had difficulty navigating in the BCC and that's how we came up with the smart glasses.
